This an adjective high school students, parents, teachers and administrators often use to describe the benefits of Root 2 Rise.

No student’s journey is the exactly same, but each is characterized by a remarkable increase in confidence and a belief in a better future. One measure of our success is a graduation rate of 100%. Another is the fact that almost a third of graduates express an interest in a career in education.

Tutor-Mentors express it best. Consider Dietrich Swain. Before Root 2 Rise, he said he was unlikely to graduate and had a “really bad” attitude toward teachers. He graduated on time. “I’m now more confident,” he said, and is eager” to get out there and help people” — and wants to become a teacher, even if he has to wait until he retires from another job.

Our students also bring excitement to elementary classrooms, and we continue to explore how this positively affects younger students.
