New Possibilities
Parents notice the positive changes. Amy Cassiday said the experience was “amazing,” bolstering the confidence of her son. Andrew. by providing the opportunity to provide assistance instead of being viewed as someone who needed help. Andrew is now considering becoming a teacher. ”This is a possibility neither of us expected,” said Amy.
Inspiring Younger Students
Tutor-Mentors inspire younger students (more than 8,000 so far) — and vice versa. For many younger students, it’s the first time they have had a “teacher” who looks like them; research shows these role models can markedly improve academic outcomes.
